Who could have imagined that The New York Times would ever print the words quoted above, which it did on January 24, 2016 (page 36).We owe the Times a debt of gratitude for this bold admission.
No longer viable? The Times did not say whether non-viability of academic medicine happened recently. And if did happen sometimes in the past,
What next? Computer Love, Of Course!
The New York Times has an answer: “We’ve hired a host of new people: leading mathematicians, engineers, and computers and data scientists who being what is written in stone is just begging to be re-written.” These words pregnant with “cyber-hope” also appear on page 36 of the paper.
When Will loving compassionate computers Begin Their Healing Work?
The Times is prudently silent on it.

In the Interest of complete disclosure, I must add here that the above quotes from the Times are taken for a centerfold advertisement in the New York Times Magazine taken by the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York.
Another thing. I have never seen a paper published from the Mount Sinai Hospital which reported reversal of diabetes, heart diseases, or any other condition with holistic, nondrug therapies.
