What Is Limbic Exercise?
Majid Ali, M.D.
In the late 1980s, I coined the term Limbic Exercise for physical exercise that is non-competitive, non-analytical, and most importantly non-traumatic. It was exercise done by my paternal grandfather and maternal grandmother, both lived to be 101 years. I never saw them run or lift weight during the last fifty or so years of their life. And so was the case with my father.
Non-Traumatic Exercise
In 1993, I published my book Ghoraa and Limbic Exercise to describe in detail various aspects of limbic exercise, focusing on the philosophy of body motion and spontaneity of movement, not for five or ten or twenty years but for the entire life.
