Pre-East of My Imagination
I invite you to spend a few moments with the poet Jala udDin Rumei, philsopher Bertrand Russel, and some word which I offer in my book entitled “The Drone Democracy.” You might then wish to visit my grandmothers of the Pre-East for brief moments of a time and space that was:
- Pre-control-craze,
- Pre-gender suppression,
- Pre-spiritual splits,
- Pre-colonial,
- Pre-merchants-of-faith,
- Pre-corporate-deception, and
- Pre-ideological-distortion.

Beyond right and wrong, there is a field. I will meet you there.
Where Might I Go to Find Rumi’s Field?
Here is what might work for me:
- Curiosity to be the mother of imagination.
- Imagination opens the pathways of exploration.
- Exploration offers the opportunity to banish the cortical monkey which thrives on fear and anger.
Bertrand Russell’s Foundation of Despair
Here is a an alternative view- a revealing quote from the British philosopher Bertrand Russell:
“That man is the product of causes which had no prevision of the end they were achieving, that his origin, his hopes and fears, his love and his beliefs, are but the outcome of accidental collocations of atoms; that no fire, no heroism, no intensity of thought and feeling, can preserve an individual life beyond the grave; ..all the labors of the ages, all the devotion, all the inspiration, all the noonday brightness of human genius, are destined to extinction in the vast death of the solar system, and that the whole temple of man’s achievement must inevitably be buried beneath the debris of a universe in ruins – all these things, if not quite beyond dispite, are yet so neatrly certain, that no philosophy which rejects them can hope to stand. Only within the scaffolding of these truths, only on the firm foundation of unyielding despair, can the soul’s habitation henceforth be safely built.”
The Final Form of Human Government
In 1989, the philosopher-futurist Fukuyama assreted “With the collapse of Communism… what we may be witnessing , is the end point of mankind’s ideological evolution and the universalization of Western liberal democracy as the final form of human government.”
A stunning insight! Isn’t it?

The Cortical Monkey
I titled the first book for general readership The Cortical Money and Healing (1990) to make one essential point at many levels: The cortical monkey loves to recycle past misery. When recycling past misery is not enough, it thrives on pre-cycling feared, future misery.
In my book, I also addressed the crucial matter of tyranny of diagnostic labels which fans the fires of fear and anger.
The answer to the suffering caused by fear and anger is in being of part of one’s elements. I find this to be the best strategy for countering head-fixation of the Cortical Monkey. Below, I offer a series of seven video links to elaborate above statements.
