Treatment of Low-Sodium State

Majid Ali, M.D.

Response to a Reader’s Request

A reader asked to offer information about her persistent and disabling low-sodium problem. This problem (low sodium state) indeed is usually persistent and disabling. The cases which I have seen always developed after multiple drugs taken for high blood pressure, heart disease, inflammatory conditions, pain syndromes, and stress. Insulin toxicity was present in every case but remained undiagnosed because blood insulin tests were never done.
