What Is Fermentation?


Fermentation is the process by which natural compounds are turned into acids and alcohols. For example, in wine-making grape sugar is fermented to produce wine. In another example, soya is fermented to produce miso.

Many fermenting microbes in the gut helps us digest food by a rocess of fermentation.


The planet Earth is fermenting. And so are all its occupantspeople, plants, and animals. The degrees of fermentation vary and the process is incremental.

k Populations of frogs have been obliterated in many regions of the world because they were fermenting.

k Butterflies have been wiped out in many areas.

k Bee colonies have collapsed in large numbers because they were fermenting.

k Bats are dropping dead during the day numbers because they were fermenting.

k   Sea stars have died out are extinct in large y numbers because they were fermenting.
